Step 1. Infrared / LED control
Check the Infrared lights of the camera. It is possible that during the assembly of the camera the IR leds are shining in the front of the camera, which gives a reflection. You can correct this reflection by adjusting the camera.
In addition, check if the nightvision of the camera is still switched on. This can be seen through the red LED lights which are showing a red glow when it is dark around the camera.
Step 2. Check image settings
If the infrared does not turn on at the camera, it may be disabled. The infrared can be switched on again via the recorder. To do this, follow the steps below:
• Image control
• IR-CUT Mode, which you set to GPIO Auto
Step 3. Cleaning the camera
The camera cover may contain dirt or greasy fingerprints, reflecting the infrared. This results in a sharp image during the day, but in the evening a smudged image. We recommend to clean the transparent hood with a little white spirit diluted with water. Drying is best done with a clean cotton cloth. Do not use kitchen paper for this.
Step 4. Camera reset
If the above options have no effect on the night vision of the camera, you can reset the camera. This can only be done from the menu of the recorder.
• Camera maintenance
• Load default
• Select the correct camera
• Load default (lower button)
